It’s all There in Black and White

The botanical garden’s parking lot was full; a gaggle of teenagers jumped from a limo to pose for quinceanera photos, and a herd of millennials wandered around staring at phones as part of a scavenger hunt. Not the day to relax and enjoy the gardens. So we decided to try something different and ventured out to Oak Openings Metropark (Swanton, Ohio).

I believe in serendipity.  Without the crowd, I wouldn’t have been in the Windows on Wildlife when this little bird appeared.

A black and warbler.  My first.

I could barely contain myself when I saw this beautiful girl.    And I was even more excited when I was able to take a few decent shots of her at the water’s edge and then taking a full bath.  A happy chance.
